Real life lucky cat , bringing luck for the fresh market . ? ( แมวกวักในชีวิตจริง กวักมือนำโชคให้ตลาด ? )
One day , I was walked through the fresh market in the area near BTS station ( Bangkok Train System ) at Udonsuk . Then , I noticed the cat , sitting on the empty fruit cart and beckoning . However , it may look more like the cat was grabbing the cart . But , if you look at this cat in a far distant , it look very like he was beckoning . So , I would like to say it’s a “ Beckoning Cat “ or “ Lucky cat “ of the fresh market . ?
The beckoning cat is the lucky charm originally from Japan ( in Japanese is 招き猫 , literally mean “ Beckoning “ ) or sometime people calls “ Lucky Cat “ too . Normally , the beckoning cat is a sculpture made of ceramic or plastic . Japanese people believes it will bring luck to the owners . The cat is beckoning with the upright paw to call the good luck to come in . ( Same as “ The Beckoning Lady “ or “ นางกวัก “ in Thailand who beckoning her hand to bring good luck ?? )
Therefore , I believe this cat is a real-life beckoning cat who raise his paw to call in the good luck for merchants in this market . Then , I wonder for long time if this cat has owner or not . But , I have met him for sometime and notice that he is independent cat who live by his own . Since this place is fresh market , people there might feeds him with some food and there are many good spots for him to sleep at night . So , this market is become his home . ?
Who know ? This cat might beckoning the luck to this market to repay the kindness people has for him , isn’t it ? ?????
วันหนึ่งผมเดินผ่านตลาดสดในบริเวณที่ใกล้กับ สถานี BTS อุดมสุข แล้วสังเกตุเห็นแมวตัวหนึ่งนั่งอยู่บนรถเข็นผลไม้เปล่าๆ กำลังกวักมืออยู่ แม้ว่ามันอาจดูเหมือนแมวกำลังจับราวของรถเข็น แต่ถ้าหากมองดูจากไกลๆจะดูเหมือนแมวกำลังกวักอยู่มาก ดังนั้นผมเลยขอเรียกมันว่า “ แมวกวัก “ หรือ “ แมวนำโชค “ ประจำตลาดสด ?
แมวกวัก นั้น เป็นเครื่องรางนำโชค ของญี่ปุ่น ( ภาษาญี่ปุ่นจะเรียกว่า “ 招き猫 “ แปลว่า “ แมวกวัก “ ตรงตัวตามภาษาญี่ปุ่น ) หรือบางครั้งก็ถูกเรียกว่า “ แมวนำโชค “ ได้เช่นกัน โดยปกติแล้วแมวกวักนั้นจะเป็นรูปปั้นที่ทำจาก เซรามิค หรือ พลาสติก คนญี่ปุ่นเชื่อว่ามันจะนำโชคลาภมาให้เจ้าของ โดยการที่แมวยกอุ้งมือขึ้นมานั้นถือเป็นการกวักเรียกให้โชคดีเข้ามาหาครับ ( เช่นเดียวกันกับ “ นางกวัก “ ของคนไทย ซึ่งจะยกมือขึ้นกวักเรียกโชคลาภเข้ามาครับ ?? )
เพราะฉะนั้นแล้วผมเชื่อว่าเจ้าเหมียวตัวนี้ คือ แมวกวัก ตัวจริง ซึ่งกวักมือเรียกโชคลาภให้กับเหล่าพ่อค้าแม่ขายที่ตลาดสดแห่งนี้ครับ แล้วผมก็สงสัยมานานแล้วว่า มันเป็นแมวที่มีเจ้าของหรือเปล่า แต่จากที่ผมเจอมันมาหลายครั้ง ก็สังเกตุว่ามันเป็นแมวจร ซึ่งก็น่าจะมีคนคอยให้อาหารมันกินเนื่องจากเป็นตลาดสด รวมถึงมันสามารถหาที่นอนพักที่ดีๆได้หลายจุดด้วย ดังนั้นเรียกได้ว่าตลาดสดแห่งนี้จึงกลายเป็นบ้านของมันครับ ?
เจ้าเหมียวตัวนี้อาจจะกำลังกวักมือเรียกโชคดีให้แก่ตลาดแห่งนี้เพื่อตอบแทนน้ำใจของผู้คนที่นี่ ว่ามั้ยครับ ? ?????
