The giant Maneki-neko ( Beckoning Cat ) is standing and beckoning for customers to come to the mall , SIAM SQUARE ONE in Bangkok . The statue is so big and colorful . It’s make of ceramic and decorated with various colors of ceramic flowers for the whole body . It’s one of the best beckoning cat I have ever seen . The light and colorful tone of the cat is a good contrast with the dark tone on the back , very beautiful scene to take a photo .
Maneki-neko ( beckoning cat ) is a common Japanese figurine ( lucky charm and talisman ) for bringing good luck and fortune for the owner . The cat will raise the paw to beckon luck and the good things to come . So , it’s a ” LUCKY CAT ” . It’s very popular in Thailand too . You could find beckoning cat in many places in Bangkok .
Therefore , this giant lucky cat in front the shopping mall would mean calling the customers to come . I guest it’s the owner’s intention to use this lucky cat as a lucky charm for the whole shopping mall . The giant cat raise the paw not only to beckon luck but also a sign of warm of welcoming too . It would bring joy and happiness to anyone who come by , making the warm atmosphere around the area .
This is one of my best photo I have ever shoot . Beautiful and very good meaning .
